HGV Cat C1 licence allows you to step up your driving game from a mere car licence to one you can use professionally in even more contexts. Once you have this licence, you can build on it and drive larger and larger vehicles as you work your way through the licence levels, eventually reaching the highest paid jobs. With an HGV Cat C1 licence, you can drive rigid vehicles between 3,500 and 7,500kg. But if You would like to attach a trailer you will have to upgrade your licence to CAT C1+E. 

HGV CAT C1 LICENCE REQUIREMENTS

To obtain this licence you must be at least 18 years of age, and you must hold a car driving licence. In addition, you’ll need to pass a medical exam showing you’re fit to drive such vehicles professionally.

WHO SHOULD TAKE HGV CAT C1 LICENCE

HGV Cat C1 training is ideal if you’re just venturing into professional driving and want to start out with the smaller vehicles. You can take it right after you pass your Cat B licence test, or with years of car driving experience, it’s completely up to you. If you’re starting your own business and expect to be making deliveries, having a this licence means you can do it yourself at first rather than paying someone else to do it in your earlier stages.
