We’ll be on hand to answer any questions you may have and create a training program to fit your needs, budget and location. Once you’ve signed up you’ll receive an immediate login to your Theory Training Account – and you can start right away!

The day after you’ve signed up you’ll receive your Starter Pack – this contains your Provisional Licence Application & Medical Completion Form. Complete these forms ASAP and pop them in the post to the DVLA in the pre-addressed envelope we provide. Then call our friendly doctors to arrange a medical appointment ASAP – all the details etc will be in your Starter Pack.

WEEK TWO / WEEK THREE

Keep Practising to be Ready for Your Theory Test!

What will happen:

Keep practising online for your Theory Test and when your Provisional Licence pops through the post, call us. When you’ve started to pass the mock tests at home, get back in touch and we’ll book and pay for your Theory Test. There are 100’s of centres nationwide where you can take this test – and it takes less than a couple of hours.

WEEK THREE / WEEK FOUR

Pass Your Theory Test then Call Quickly to Book Your Practical!

Hopefully you’ll pass your Theory Test – call us when you do and we’ll book your practical dates. We usually book 2-3 weeks in advance but sometimes there are cancellations and we can get you in sooner. Make sure you call ASAP to secure dates, times and locations that suit you.

WEEK FOUR / WEEK FIVE

Start Your Practical Training Now!

What will happen:

Get driving! Hopefully by now you’ll be ready to begin your practical training. In less than a week you could be a fully-fledged HGV driver, with all the kudos that entails! We’ll give you a selection of dates and locations, chose one that suits and off we go. At the end of the week you’ll take your Practical HGV Driving Test – pass the test (and with a 92% pass rate with Pass Protection, we’re sure you will) and then you’re ready to hit the road.

WEEK FIVE / WEEK SIX

Attend either a Periodic CPC course or take your Initial CPC

WHAT WILL HAPPEN

Depending on your driving licence you’ll either need to take your Initial CPC (which is a Case Study Theory test and a “show and tell” practical test or) or do 35 hours to complete your Periodic CPC hours. Get these short courses out the way and then we’ll be on your back about finding a job! Talk to one of our Career Advisors and they’ll put you in touch with agencies and provide you with phone numbers / email addresses for the companies seeking drivers in your area.
