HGV Drivers Lose Weight for Charity

A group of caring and compassionate HGV drivers in Bristol have embarked on an impressive plan to raise money for charity. That plan involves each of the drivers losing a specified amount of weight before their August 31 deadline. They began the weight loss challenge early in April.

Horsebox Trailers Headed to Pool-in-Wharfdale Again

It appears the horsebox trailer will be soon be reappearing in Pool-in-Wharfdale, thanks to recently approved plans to reopen a horse riding school in the Leeds village of 1,700 residents. The Pool Parish Council recently approved the plans with some contingencies.

Edinburgh Company Loses HGV License

April 29, 2013

A demolitions firm from Edinburgh made the news last August when one of their HGVs lost a wheel on the A904. The resulting accident left the vehicle hanging over a flyover until emergency crews could stabilise it and bring it back. Now the company is back in the news after having its HGV license suspended.

M6 to Be Free For HGV Drivers In July

In a move sure to put a smile on the faces of HGV drivers across the UK, Midland Expressway has announced the M6 Toll motorway will be free to them and their vehicles for the month of July. It currently costs HGV drivers £11 to use the roadway during the week.
